Pacifica Island Vanilla Perfume Review

I am OBSESSED with perfumes! Ask anyone who knows me, I've got them all over my bedroom, on bookcases, in my bag... even at friends' houses! I noticed recently I don't have that many "warm" day-to-day fragrances, so when I heard about the Pacifica natural perfumes, I loved the idea of having a little bottle of my own! I went for the Island Vanilla scent as I heard this was one of the most popular, and it had loads of positive reviews! Several women said they received compliments while wearing it, and I'm always mindful of the fact I have quite eclectic taste when it comes to scents, so this won me over!

The packaging is very sweet, the bottle is quite small and has no lid - something i find slightly suprising, but not annoying - I usually lose the lids anyway! I read this was "different from the normal vanilla scents"" in that it "isn't too sweet" and brings to mind exotic locations and summer holidays. Upon smelling it for the first time, I thought I'd made a huge mistake - it's REALLY sweet, almost sickly and cake-like! It reminded me of a body spray I used to wear at school that I got for about £2 from Boots, which was a bit annoying seeing as I paid quite a bit more for this (£20 to be exact!) But as time went on, I kept getting people in the office look up and ask "what that smell was". Cautiously, I'd ask if it was nice or not, and they all said yes - relief! It seems to warm up and adapt to you as you wear it, so fortunately the smell for less sweet and more warm. Hopefully it'll be a really nice, warm smell for the winter, as I intend to wear this during the day during the jumper months! Meli X
