EOS Lip Balm in Strawberry

EOS Lip Balms have been a big thing for ages now! Loved by celebrities and featured constantly in mags, they've become a bit of a handbag essential. I bought this one and have been using it for the past couple of months. They come in loads of different flavours - I've got the strawberry!

The packaging is definitely a love/hate thing - personally, I quite like it, but it is a little bulky! I love the shape of the solid balm inside, it's so different to a normal bullet-shaped balm, and fits the contours of my lips really nicely. The balm itself is quite thin, but very comfortable. There was quite a lot in the press recently about these causing really severe allergic reactions in some people; the rumour was it was beeswax creating this reaction, but beeswax has been used for years so it's unlikely the culprit here. It does have a high percentage of "natural flavourings", which is not a natural ingredient and is more likely the cause. I didn't have any problems with it myself, but I did think the scent was a little bit "manufactured" and fake!

I actually think this balm makes a really great lipstick primer. EOS lip balms are 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free. They're packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil, providing a really soft, none-shiny lip finish.

These are SUPER pricey for a balm! I only bought mine because it was on sale, and I wouldn't buy it full price, but I do like the balm overall. I particularly huuuuge amount love the different flavours and colours! They're attractive and get the job done - even if they ARE a little expensive! Meli X
