Why I Love Coconut

Coconut truly is a wonder product. It’s one of those rare ingredients with hundreds, if not thousands, of everyday uses – and some may surprise you! It’s said that coconut can replace the vast majority of our beauty products, from hair care to skincare, hands to feet! Here's why I've always got a pot of coconut oil somewhere in my house!

Face & Body Moisturiser

Coconut is a fantastic natural moisturiser due to its saturated fats that keep skin soft, it’s proteins that keep skin healthy and rejuvenated, and its disinfectant properties that make it very healing. It’s said that coconut is naturally anti-aging, can be used as a mild sun protection, and can heal cuts and sores on the skin!

Hair

Coconut is especially good for dry, damaged hair; use as a daily shampoo and conditioner for maintenance and protection, or as an intensive mask for especially dry, frizzy locks. The Body Coach himself, Joe Wicks (seriously, if you don't know him, Google him... sigh), recently admitted to using coconut oil overnight to keep his beautiful curls soft and frizz-free... and if it's good enough for him, it's good enough for us!

Perfume

Probably one of the most loved attributes to coconut is its heavenly smell. The recognisable scent can transport you immediately to exotic, faraway destinations. The warm, sultry blend of coconut and delicate creamy vanilla is pure paradise.

Lips

Coconut is gentle enough even for more sensitive areas of the face like the lips. Lips are prone to chapping and get affected by weather changes easily - popping a bit of coconut over them (as well as tasting delicious) will also help nourish and protect them.

It's bloody delish. Speaking of taste, coconut is SO GOOD for cooking with. Coconut water is insanely hydrating, coconut oil makes a healthy alternative to other cooking oils, and it's great as a topping on most foods! I also like to cut a whole coconut into small sections and keep it in the fridge for a quick, tasty snack as I browse the fridge! (What can I say, I'm a grazer...)
