Hey guys! Today I wanted to talk about my all time favourite lip balm. I've been using this lip balm for years, but actually forgot about it a while back whilst trying other products (oops!) I originally bought this while on holiday in Paris by recommendation of a friend. At around £10, I was seriously put off by the high price point, but when my friend bought it I got serious FOMO and decided to treat myself - hey, I was on holiday! This product comes in a beautiful glass container (and if you know me at all, you'll know if I pay money for a product I expect high-quality packaging!) It's a weighty little container holding a LOT of product (15g). I first bought this a couple of years ago (it does say it's shelf life is 12 months, but it just seems to create a weird little coating on the top... scrape it off and you're good to go!) and it's STILL HALF FULL. Yes, I forgot about it for a couple of months but before that i was using it pretty much every day, and now I've rediscovered it I use it EVERY night and morning, without fail.
The best thing about this product is you have to use so little for such a great amount of coverage. The texture is reaaaaally difficult to describe, because I've literally never come across anything similar to it before! It's thick, almost a tiny but grainy, really smoothing on the lips, but not sticky whatsoever. I remember when my friend first recommended it to me, she said she put it on at night and she could still feel it on in the morning. I remember thinking, pah, yeah right! Well... she's right. This stuff LASTS. It smells like a cross between honey and lemon, which sounds gross but actually it's really lovely! It makes the most amazing lipstick primer (hence why I put it on every morning), and it's the kind of lip balm you can wear and not worry about transfer, or hair getting stuck to your lips etc. It leaves no shine, just a lovely hydrated - almost matte? - finish to the lips. I honestly can't rate it enough... as you can see, I've bought my second pot in anticipation of finishing my first! I definitely think it's worth the money, it lasts for so long and really does the job - it leaves lips feeling soft, protected, and hydrated!
