Hey hey! OK so yes I knowww I talk about Tisserand a lot, but their products have really captured my attention and I love their company ethos and I just really love their brand OK so get off my back!

Just kidding... anywho, as ya'll know I have used a lot of Tisserand products in the past (I'm kind of waiting to come across a product of theirs I don't like but so far, nothing! They can do no wrong!) I got the chance to try these little beauties and jumped at the chance, having never been a huge lavender fan in the past. I mean, it's OK, I get lavender - it's just not really ever been on my radar, you know? It's not something I've worked with a lot! So the matching bath oils is supposed to "nourish your skin and senses, refresh with Mandarin, and enrich with coconut, almond and jojoba", whilst the body oil is "rich in nourishing vitamins, antioxidants and Omega 6 & 9 fatty acids". Well if that doesn't sound like a delicious concoction of ingredients I don't know what does!

So obviously I went ahead and used the bath oil first by running some under the hot taps. The first thing I notice and like about this is the smell - naturally derived, it's strong (which I love) and instantly filled the room with fragrance. It kind of reminded me of when you're ill and you stick your head over a hot water bowl so the steam can clear your skin and lungs... except with a delicious fragrance! It made the water feel softer, but really this product is all about the smell. Lavender is renowned for being relaxing, calming and soothing. After the bath, I followed instantly with the body oil. I normally hate oils on my skin (how can you put clothes on after comfortably?) but this one was luxurious and smelt amazing! It meant the bath oil scent lasted longer, whilst the oil sank into my dry skin quickly. When I got into bed I was still surrounded with the scent which was amazing! It was such a nice way to wind down after a long day. I think these products are beautiful - and it's given me a newfound love and respect for lavender, an ingredient I've long overlooked! Normally lavender is too overpowering for me, but Tisserand have done it again; they've created a product with strong, effective ingredients that actually work without blowing your head off with strong scent. What lavender products have you guys tried? Do you recommend me any to try? Meli X
