Korres Jasmine Lip Butter Review

Sup! Y'all know how I love a good lip balm; I've had my eye on the Korres lip butter for quite a while but never got round to purchasing it. I finally got round to it, so here's the review! Firstly, this lip butter smells LOVELY. I was expecting a jasmine smell, but really it's quite sweet and vanilla-ry. The packaging is great (I do love good packaging!) and the balm is such a beautiful colour - I couldn't wait to try it! So here's the technical bit: "A buttery lip balm that melts on the lips and offers a shiny, tinted finish. The combination of Shea butter and Rice wax offers deep hydration and softness. Ideal for chapped lips. Dermatologically Tested. Mineral Oil Free. Silicone Free. Propylene Glycol Free. Ethanolamine Free." On application, this was far thicker than I anticipated - I picked up way too much because for some reason I thought it would be a much more solid formula! It's not sticky as all, and it's designed to leave a slight "stain" on the lips. It felt soft enough, but I was surprised at the pigmentation - there was more colour than I thought! It felt thick and buttery on the lips.

This is what it looked like on! It's lighter than I thought it would be; I quite like it, though it makes me think it would be reaaaally light on someone with a darker skin tone than me (which is pretty much everyone!) It made me want to grab a liner and deepen the colour a little bit/define the lip line. But it looked smooth and lasted as any normal balm would, which was a positive! Overall I'm glad I bought it; I've been dying to try it for so long, it was about time! They come in a multitude of BEAUTIFUL colours... I probably wouldn't buy this shade again (despite how pretty it looks in the tub!), but I think I'd probably buy another because it's made me curious about the other shades, and the quality of the butter itself is lovely!
