Center Parks Treehouses

This photo is from the Centre Parcs website

Hey everyone! I was lucky enough to get invited to stay in the Centre Parcs Treehouses in Longleat with some friends the other week... I was SO excited, I've heard a lot about the treehouses and seen them from afar (pretty sure it's the law to cycle past at least once to stare in awe if you visit Centre Parcs!) so to have the opportunity to stay in one was really exciting! My friend sent me the advertisement video on YouTube and it looked incredible... but I can honestly say the photos (including mine) do NOT do this place justice, so if you're impressed by the pictures, times it by 10 to understand JUST how amazing these are! The walkway is really long and winding (and obviously created to give you time to marvel at the sheer size and awesomeness of the treehouse!)... gotta admit, though, when you're trying to stumble up the walkway at silly-o'clock in the morning after a few (OK, a lot) alcohol beverages, it got a bit tiresome! But still, it would look a bit silly with a couple steps leading up wouldn't it! Here's the interior:

The remotes were all on an ipad (very snazzy), they provided us with free magazines and each bedroom had a TV and en suite (I'll get onto the bathrooms in a moment...)

The kitchen was state of the art loveliness - being honest, we ordered food or ate out (or had a BBQ!) most of the time so we didn't spend much time in the kitchen, but it had a coffee maker and all the facilities you could ever need, PLUS they stocked the fridge with cheese, grapes and there was even a mini fridge stocked to the brim and all included in the price! Incredible! There's also a house phone you can use to call your PERSONAL TREEHOUSE STAFF in case you need anything! We didn't end up using that facility because they treehouse had literally everything you could wish for - robes, slippers, everything!

You still see all the wildlife and are among the trees which is really lovely! We got a couple squirrel visitors (and a lot of birds) but we got most excited about the amount of deers we saw! They were literally EVERYWHERE - walking in the woods you'd see 5 or 6 at a time, it was really amazing! I highly recommend taking some sort of food for the wildlife as they'll let you get really close (just remember to take proper bird seed for the ducks as bread is really bad for them!)

Anyway... I didn't get a photo of the bedrooms or bathroom unfortunately (I got distracted by the games room - that's right, they have a separate little room with a huge TV, Xbox with games included, a pool table, and another mini bar). I absolutely fell in love with my bathroom - the house staff kept it absolutely pristine, and it had speakers in the ceiling that were connected to the TV in the bedroom so if you wandered through to the bathroom you could still hear whatever you were watching/listening to! The shower also had 6 jets... it was so luxurious, this is an aspect I can't stop thinking about and have decided I really, really need in any future house I own! All the bedrooms had their own little patios which were so calm and tranquil so sit on alone to read a book with a proper coffee in the early hours of the morning... bliss!

There was also a huge barbecue on the patio, as well as a table which was beautiful to have breakfast at, AND a Jacuzzi and sauna room!

Not. Even. Kidding!

We also did the obligatory visit to The Pancake House. I ordered the New Yorker, which (seen above) is a stack of American-style pancakes smothered in syrup and bacon... if you can finish this you're a trooper, there's so much and it's so delicious but really filling!

Group shot of us on the first night wearing the robes, slippers and drinking the alcohol they left for us! So classy...

I really, really loved this trip. I've never stayed in such incredible accommodation before and I'd absolutely love to visit again... it was just stunning! We were really well provided before, and it was obvious they were out to impress... it worked. 100% would recommend. It was heaven! Meli X
