Welcome back! I've been a fan of the Pacifica range for a while now; they tell stories with their products, it's affordable, natural, and the packaging is beautiful. I've been really impressed especially with their skin care line (I think their make up has room for improvement, but it's great for anyone who doesn't wear much and just wants something quite healthy for daily wear!) I like their hawaiian-themed range a lot; their coconut scents and sea-based ingredients really attract me as I love the whole natural-beachy vibe thing! I came across this Persian Rose Body Butter and Perfume recently and was intrigued! Brook, the brains behind Pacifica, describes it like this: "Our blend of Bulgarian rose, subtle violet, myrrh and delicate fruit is a nod to the floral empire of the Persians, the kings of perfume in the 9th century. Sounds great, right? I've always been a big lover of the rose scent but I do find it's quite an aging smell - something the older generation might wear. I've had spicy rose-inspired perfumes before which I've really loved, so I'm definitely in the market for a new rosey scent! So first things first; I think they've done beautifully making sure the body butter and perfume match each other. Layering them will mean the fragrance lasts - plus the body butter is really soft and lovely to apply straight after a shower
I loved this perfume. It's definitely that iconic 'rose' smell, but with a twist; perhaps an undertone I can't quite pin a name on! I have to admit, though, I was fairly conscious of this when I was wearing it - perhaps wondering what other people thought of it? Not usually my style as generally I don't care as long as I like it... but I couldn't help but wonder! It wears quite nicely and smells so clean and fresh! I actually think I'll be wearing this a lot now the summer is here... I think the more I wear it, the less conscious I'll be of what other people think! It's very different to what I normally wear, but I think once people get used to it, they'll love it just as much as I do... I love wearing light, floral scents when the flowers start appearing in Spring, and I think this one is so pretty and delicate, I can definitely see myself wearing it during the day!
