Oblepikha Siberica Hand Cream - Review

Hey guys!

I don't use hand creams all that often as my hands have never been particularly dry, but when I received this beautiful bottle from work I couldn't resist trying it out and writing up a review! I find most hand creams annoying as they sit on my skin for ages, meaning I can't use my hands for a couple of minutes (at least not without smearing moisturiser all over anything I touch - ick!) I decided to try this at night to avoid that!

Here's what Natura Siberica have to say about the product:

"Gentle daily care will permanently preserve youth and beauty of your hands. The Altai sea buckthorn cream butter and amaranth oil will provide daily nourishing and deep moisturising for the skin. Cranberry seed oil nourishes the skin with essential vitamins, has a healing effect and perfectly protects the skin from harmful environmental influences".

This is a natural product with no parabens or potential nasties - it's made with lovely, natural ingredients from Siberia.

The packaging is really lovely; I really like the floral pattern on the tube, and the size is great for the price (only £3.60 from Naturally Better You!) This has won a Pure Beauty Award in 2016, which immediately gave me high hopes...

So first things first! This smells very fruity - it immediately reminded me of cranberries, and after checking the ingredient list I saw cranberries were indeed one of the main ingredients. It was an unusual, unexpected smell, but I actually really liked it! I'm so used to smelling such sweet, perfumed products for the hands, it was really nice to know this fragrance was naturally derived - and it smelt sweet, fruity and clean, another bonus. This is a thick cream, but spreads well. It's a weird mustard colour - no dyes or bleaches in this baby - and a little goes a long way. The first thing I noticed is how bloody quickly this absorbed - within the space of a minute, I felt no sticky film on my hands and felt able to go about my day. That was a HUUUUUGE bonus for me, as I hate hand creams that create a mess! I've been using this at night before I go to bed, but I'd be more than happy to use this during the day or at work because it absorbed so quickly! My hands definitely felt lovely and soft afterwards. The skin felt silky smooth and protected, too - I'll be using this in the mornings on colder days to protect my skin from drying out. I also think I'll be using this after the shower to stop any moisture evaporating away. In all honesty, with the price and packaging and quality of the product, it's one of the best hand creams I've ever tried - I'm really impressed! Meli X
