Hey guys! I wanted to share with you my current favourite light foundation to wear - the L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion! I've been using this for months now to get a proper feel for it, and as I'm coming to the end of this one, I thought it was about time I sat down and talked about it! Firstly, I'm going to admit I actually hate the colour of the packaging. The shiny, metallic packaging is so cheap and tacky, though it does wipe clean easily! It does work well; it has a little mirror in the lid and a little compartment for the sponge to sit, but I really can't stand the colour - sorry, L'Oreal!!
Moving on to the actual product, though... I bought this on a quick shopping spree prior to a holiday abroad! I wanted a light, easy-to-apply foundation in a shade slightly more tan than my normal colour so I could apply it on the plane. Because this is in a sponge, you can take this on a flight and not have to worry about going over the liquid limit, which I find really handy especially if you've only got hand luggage. The first few times I applied this, I applied it with the accompanying sponge which turne dout to be surprisingly good! Normally I hate with a burning passion the applicators in products like this, but I was really pleasantly surprised at how good the sponge is. To apply, you need to press the applicator into the sponge (where all the foundation sits) and tap it onto the face. It does give a lovely coverage this way, and is ideal for touch-ups. I do find, as well the majority of products, a buffing brush is the best way to apply this foundation, however. I love using my big fat Morphe M439 to press it into the skin, and buff around the jaw. I think it would apply too lightly when used with a Beauty Blender! I think the only downside (aside from the colour of the packaging, ick) is that this doesn't hold much product and wont last long with daily use. This is a massive shame, as I'm starting to really love this foundation!! It was so beautiful on holiday - granted, the lasting power isn't great and I think someone with an oilier skin type than myself will really struggle to keep this looking nice - but it has a beautiful, satin finish and covers redness without covering freckles. Such a natural, pretty foundation - I wish they did it in a bottle form so I could easily top up the sponge before travelling! Meli X
