I haven't reviewed a perfume in a while so I thought I'd talk about one of my favourite fresh scents this summer!
The D&G 3 L'Imperatrice fragrance is ideal for daily wear if you like a fresh, fruity scent. I discovered this when I used to work on a make-up counter (us girls used to drench ourselves with the fragrance testers) and this is one I found myself coming back to over and over until eventually I purchased it.
It retails at around £32 and comes in a chic but minimalist glass bottle. It's described as:
"D&G 3 L'Impératrice is flamboyant and energetic. For the L'Impératrice woman life is a movie and she is the heroine. All heads turn when she enters a room. Vibrant and magnetic, she exudes charisma and force of character."
Scent-wise, it contains:
Top: Rhubarb, red currant, kiwi
Heart: Watermelon
Base: Sandalwood, musk, grapefruit
This is one of those rare fragrances where the top, heart and base of the scent all make sense. Usually I read them dubiously and struggle to smell the description, but with this one I can definitely smell the rhubarb, the watermelon and the sandalwood all working together to create a lovely fresh and feminine scent that isn't overpowering and will get you plenty of compliments.
It has lots of positive reviews online too and I think it's a very affordable fragrance - I highly recommend having a smell next time you're in a perfume shop!
'Imperatrice' is french for empress, if you were wondering!
