Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate

Hey!

I've had this serum for ages and only just got round to doing a review for it - soz!

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate is a pretty popular product. I initially saw it on Instagram and loved the packaging. I'd also been on the lookout for a product to buy from Kiehl's as I'd wanted to try the brand for ages.

This serum ain't cheap. You can get it in different sizes - the one I have (50ml) retails around the £50 mark (gulp!)

Kiehl's says:

'One night. A few drops. Younger-looking skin by morning.

While you sleep, skin experiences peak recovery conditions, as it is sheltered from external aggressors, making it more receptive to your nightly skincare routine.

Midnight Recovery Concentrate replenishes skin as you sleep, supplementing its natural overnight recovery process, to reveal a rested and restored appearance by morning.'

Sounds fancy shmancy, right? I wanted a serum that was light but hydrating and anti-ageing, so this ticked all the boxes. I also really love the packaging - the glass bottle is weighty and expensive-feeling, and I really love the deep blue colour.

Firstly, this stuff lasts for AGES. I've had this for months and months and, while I don't use it every day, I do use it fairly often and because you only need 3/4 drops, it has lasted for ages. Excellent news as it isn't something I'd want to purchase regularly at that price point!

The ingredients do contain essential oils, which isn't great. It smells amazing and absorbs quickly into the skin, which I like.

Have I noticed a difference to the appearance of my skin? Um... long-term, not really, no. This hasn't broken me out (as most oils do) and it does appear to hydrate my skin by morning, which I like. It feels nice to apply because it has an expensive feel to it (and it smells beautiful). Overall, I do like the product but I hate the price point; I think that's the main thing that puts me off!

I'd be interested to know if anyone has noticed a difference to wrinkles from using this! I'm using it as more of a preventative method, and I'll definitely continue using it til the last drop.
