Perricone MD Skincare & Makeup Haul

I became a big fan of Perricone MD's famous 'No Lipstick Lipstick' after I discovered Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, wore it in the film. A beautiful, natural pink colour that feels smooth and creamy on the lips... it's a big win from me. So naturally, I was excited to try out some more Perricone MD products!

Firstly, I really like the overall aesthetic and packaging of Perricone MD. It's very understated, but somehow still manages to stand out... classy and sophisticated. All good so far!

This Photo Plasma is strangely named, but looks beautiful in the pot and has a 30 SPF within it. I was looking forward to testing it!

Sadly, though, this first product was disappointing for me. It smelt funny and went onto the skin strangely - it was so sticky! Perhaps it didn't agree with my skin type...

[I've since learned this product has been discontinued, so perhaps I wasn't the only person unhappy with this product!]

Moving onto the Concentrated Restorative Treatment. Another funny-coloured product, but the sheer shade of a product is not enough to put me off, so I joyously slathered this onto my face... only to be disappointed, again, by the scent and texture. It was smelly, thick, and sticky - really unpleasant to put onto the skin. Though to be fair, i could have overlooked all of that if it had done a wonderful job... which it didn't, really. It claims to 'repair and protect your skin from environmental damage', but I didn't feel or see any discernable changes ot my skin. For £79, I was expecting something wow... sadly, this gloopy concoction was another miss for me.

[After looking on their website, it seems this is another product that has been taken off the shelves!]

Moving onto the Perricone MD foundation! Very excited to try this as I LOVE their No Lip Lipstick. I was expecting a sheer, buildable coverage (again, I was envisioning that natural, my skin but better glow).

Right! I don't even know where to start with this one. This foundation is possibly the WORST FOUNDATION I HAVE EVER TRIED. And I have tried many, many foundations!

No matter what I did, I could not get this to work on my skin. The shade I chose was too yellow, but that was the first of a long list of problems with this foundation. I have never had any skincare product stick to dry patches like I have with this one. It stuck to areas of dryness I didn't even know I had! I tried it with primers, I tried applying it with my hands, with a brush, with a wet beauty blender... nothing worked. This foundation was not salvageable. I absolutely hated it.

It's saving grace was it only cost around £25, but to some that is still a lot of money! I think they may have changed the formula now (they've certainly changed the packaging), but I was so scarred by this product, I don't want to try it again!

Now onto the No Lipstick Lipstick. I've already mentioned that I love this, but I wanted to show you why.

How pretty and natural does it look?! You don't need a mirror for this, you can just slick it on and off you go. It's one of my absolute favourite lip products - I think I have about 3 bullets now, so I can keep them in various handbags/places so there's always one within reach! The colour is so pretty and great for paler skin tones. It's a sheer wash of creamy colour, but it looks and feels so nice. HIGHLY recommend! This costs around £30 but is currently on offer for £15 - go grab one!!

After the roaring success of the lipstick, I was excited to try the lip gloss, too!

Another very pretty lip product. Feels lovely on the lips, no offensive scent, glides on and stays put as long as you'd expect gloss to stay. I like this, and I would buy it in other shades for sure. So as you can see, this review turned into a bit of a rollercoaster. I have such a love/hate relationship with this brand! When they get it right, BOY do they get it right - but when they get it wrong, holy hell, it's dreadful!

I will absolutely continue to try this brand in case I stumble across another Holy Grail product. I'd also love to get more of the No Lipstick Lipstick in the different shades - it's such a fab lip product, I honestly do really suggest you try it for yourself. Hey, if it's good enough for Wonder Woman, it's good enough for me!
