The BeautyPie 'YouthBomb' Range - An Honest Review

I've been getting a lot of compliments on my skin recently, and I have introduced a couple of newbies into my routine that I think are having a big impact on the look, feel, and overall texture of my skin.

I've a HUGE advocate of BeautyPie, having been a member for at least 2 years. They have yet to steer me wrong in both skincare and make-up - every product I've tried (and I've tried a lot...) has been really, really great.

And that leads me onto today's review, which is on the BeautyPie YouthBomb range...

YOUTHBOMB™ 360° RADIANCE CONCENTRATE (S001), 50ML

‎‎A proprietary blend of 15 active ingredients that supercharge your skin’s radiance. The serum… ‎ ‎‎ ‎

+ Reinforces the structural integrity and elasticity of the skin. ‎

+ ‎Helps to recharge, visibly firm and strengthen the skin. ‎ ‎

+ Provides emollient, moisturizing and soothing effects. ‎ ‎ ‎

+ Helps with skin brightening. ‎ ‎

+ Contains antioxidant benefits. ‎ ‎

YOUTHBOMB™ DOUBLE RETINOL-ACTION SKIN OVERHAUL™ SERUM, 50ML

‎‎‎+ ‎‎Microencapsulated Retinol (3%) - To help reduce the visibility of wrinkles, even skin tone and enhance firmness. ‎ ‎

+ ‎‎Granactive Retinoid (2%) - A low-irritation, bioavailable, non-prescription vitamin A, for a double dose of resurfacing and collagen-support. ‎ ‎

+ ‎‎Niacinamide (5%) - Pro-Collagen vitamin B3 to soothe and strengthen the skin, and help brighten. ‎ ‎

+ Contains an Alpha Hydroxy Acid to gently polish the surface skin layers and increase penetration of other actives. ‎

+ Hydrates the skin’s upper layers and helps delay signs of premature aging. ‎ ‎

I am now on my second bottle of the YouthBomb Retinol Serum. Used at night, I find two pumps covers the entire face (and most of the neck, too). Unlike other retinols I've tried, it doesn't smell too horrific, and it doesn't feel quite as harsh on the skin. It dries quickly and sits really nicely under my nighttime moisturiser (I'm currently using the La Roche Posay Cicaplast Balm for a really thick, creamy hydration hit.) If you're new to retinol (my FAVOURITE skincare ingredient), I highly recommend this as it's a great way to introduce it into your routine (don't forget to wear SPF every day if you start using retinol!)

The YouthBomb 360 Radiance serum, I use in the day. This smells... a little funky. But I don't mind it as I don't think fragrances are particularly required in skincare - I'm more bothered about whether it works! I use two pumps over the entire face and neck, straight after washing my face with clean, warm water (I don't use a cleanser in the morning unless my skin feels a bit congested). It sits nicely on the skin and absorbs quickly. I think this product is a great way to protect the skin from ageing, so it's a fab preventative skincare product.

About BeautyPie

I know some people find BeautyPie a bit confusing, so let me try to explain how they work!

Basically, you have to have a membership to buy BeautyPie products at their lower rate. It costs £59 annually, which, if you buy from them as much as I do, is a total bargain compared to the savings you make. So the serum above retails at £185 without the membership, but costs £44 with it. The retinol serum is £150 without the membership, but £44 with. You get the idea!

They're also doing a 60-day free trial right now (!!!), so it's the PERFECT time to try them out. Personally, I highly recommend them - it's probably my favourite skincare and make-up brand (though I wish they'd release a few more foundation/skin make-up products!)
