Trying the Shiseido Rivitalessence Glow Foundation

Updated: 1 day ago

I've seen the Shiseido Revitalessence Glow Foundation being used a few times by some of my favourite beauty artists/influencers (Nic Chapman, for example), so thought I'd give it a go! It retails at around £49, so for that price I expect a good product. I love a dewy complexion, and this looks set to deliver just that. Here's the website spiel:

  • Suitable for all skin types

  • Provides medium coverage with a luminous finish

  • Lasts up to 12 hours

  • Blurs and brightens skin tone

  • Contains fermented kefir and niacinamide to nourish the skin barrier

  • Transfer, fade and crease-resistant

So let's see how it looks!

I used a flat foundation brush to apply this initially before swapping to a damp beauty blender to work this into my skin. As you can see, it's not a perfect shade match, but when is it ever on me?! The texture is thin and dewy and felt extremely comfortable on the skin.

Here is is all blended in. I'll be honest, I was pretty underwhelmed with how this looked on me. I don't think this is a medium coverage - it's light, if anything. It's pretty enough, but I don't think it's worth £49! I needed to add some concealer around my eyes and nose. Nice for a natural make-up look, but I think there are cheaper alternatives that look just as nice. Melissa x
